Hoosier Park’s parent company, Centaur Gaming, purchased then Indiana Downs in 2013 and changed the name to Indiana Grand and moved all Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing to Indiana Grand.
Located in Shelbyville, about 20 miles southeast of Indianapolis, Horseshoe Indianapolis (formerly Indiana Grand) opened for its inaugural season of Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing in 2003, bringing the thrill of live racing to area residents.
